Davis: “I stated on the day I announced my candidacy that I will not support Nancy Pelosi”
Today, attorneys with the Paul Davis campaign called on TV stations to take a down misleading and false attack ad from an out-of-state super PAC. The deceptive advertisement claims that “[a] vote for Paul Davis is a vote for Nancy Pelosi,” which is flat-out false. On day one of his campaign, Davis stated that he will not vote for Rep. Pelosi if he is elected, and TV stations currently airing the ad have reported this fact.
An attorney for the Davis for Kansas campaign sent a letter to local TV stations calling on them to take down the deceptive advertisement. The letter can be viewed here.
“Out-of-state special interests lying about my record is further proof that we need independent leaders willing to fix a broken Washington,” Davis said. “I’ve stated since day one of my candidacy that I will not support Nancy Pelosi for Leader or Speaker if elected. Deceptive ads like this have no place in Kansas and are a clear sign of how broken our system has become.”
Yesterday, Davis launched a new video “Crystal Clear” highlighting Davis’ long-held position of calling for new leadership in Washington. Almost exactly one year ago, Davis launched his campaign for Kansas’ 2nd Congressional District and vowed that he would not support Nancy Pelosi for Leader or Speaker. Davis was one of the first Congressional candidates in the country to do so because is running to be an independent voice for the people of Kansas.
Davis, a lifelong Kansan and son of two school teachers, has a track record of working with both parties in the Kansas Legislature to get things done. His full record on tax reform here.
